Walk My Way LORDS

LORDS students, staff and families are stepping out to bring love to life!

For 2 weeks from Friday 14 until Friday 28 August, we are encouraging LORDS students, staff and families to walk… until we reach 26kms!

What is Walk My Way?

  1. Challenge yourself to walk every day from Friday 14-Friday 28 August - until you reach 26km!
  2. You can walk in your neighbourhood, on beaches, at school - or whereever you like
  3. For an extra challenge, choose to run!
  4. You get friends and family to sponsor you
  5. Every $26 you raise helps provide 3 people's share of a Community Pond for our partner village in Cambodia!

Why are we walking?

Our partner village in Cambodia, Thmei Village, decided a Community Pond was what they needed most, so we’re going to Walk for Water!

Water is precious for the 527 people who live in Thmei. The village is remote, so it’s difficult for people to get to markets for fresh produce. And when it doesn’t rain, the crops don’t grow.

A community pond will help provide drinking water for people and animals, and help vegetables grow.

How much does it cost?

It won't cost you anything to register - hooray! You'll need your parents' permission to participate.  If you'd like to order a Walk My Way Tshirt for $10, click here (you'll need to enter the word "grace" to proceed to the online shop).

Sounds great! How do I sign up?

  1. Register - and choose your team: Junior School, Senior School or Staff
  2. Send your fundraising page to your family, friends, colleagues, the dog walker - everyone you know! - to sponsor you
  3. Join with your school community to Walk
  4. Feel awesome that you changed the life of a refugee child!
  5. Celebrate with your school!

When do I receive my Walk My Way t-shirt?

If you'd like a tshirt, you'll need to order it here for $10 (don't forget to type the word "grace" to enter the online shop). Then your t-shirt will be sent to your school in time for you to do the Walk.
